The Colour Orange-Yellow
Orange-yellow is a tertiary colour made from the secondary colour orange and the primary colour yellow. It is associated with warmth and creativity, often considered as cheering and enthusiastic. In Western cultures, it is associated with joy and prosperity (which matches Cancer energy!) Orange-yellow also symbolizes wisdom and enlightenment in some Eastern cultures, witnessed in the glowing embers of a fire or in the delicate petals of a Marigold flower.

Orange-yellow coloured fruits and vegetables contain the pigment carotenoid, most specifically beta-carotene. Our bodies convert beta-carotene into Vitamin A (retinol) aiding with vision, overall immunity and eye health. Yellow-orange fruits and vegetables also contain the antioxidant Vitamin C and flavonoids which help reduce cancer, strengthen teeth and bones, aid in wound healing, lower the risk f heart attack and keep skin healthy.

Fruits & Vegetables – acorn squash, mango, nectarines, delicata squash, cantaloupe, gooseberries, sweet corn, yellow onion, and carrot
Meat & Fish – eggs
Lentils, Whole Grains, Nuts & Seeds – bulgar, amaranth, parboiled rice and chickpeas
