Enhancing the Vitality of VIRGO Energy through Food

Virgo energy is organized, cautious, and productive.  An editor, Virgo is well known for refinement and building practical systems, blending reliability and excellence wrapped in discipline. Virgo energy is ruled by the planet Mercury, meaning the energy is remarkable at clear and elegant communication.  Virgo is actually the sign of health and nutrition, surrounding the time of harvest which lends to the productiveness of the energy, as one must pick the harvest before it spoils. Virgo energy is all about healthy and fresh produce, preservation and storage of excess harvest, and organizing both pantry and kitchen to ensure efficient meal execution!

The Colour Yellow-Green

Yellow-green is a tertiary colour that is made up of the primary colour yellow and the secondary colour green.  Yellow-green is associated with growth, freshness and renewal. It combines the optimism of yellow with the vitality of green (a natural expression of Virgo energy!)  Yellow-green also symbolizes a connection to nature and is often used in branding for health and wellness companies or creative ventures.  On the opposite side of the spectrum, yellow-green can also be a warning of illness or poor health.

Yellow-green coloured fruits and vegetables are a mixture of two pigments: carotenoids (yellow) and chlorophyll (green). Carotenoids become visible when chlorophyll breaks down, which happens as fruit ripens or when vegetables are stored.  Chlorophylls are commonly found as Chlorophyll A and B, with B being the yellow-green pigment.  Chlorophyll is an antioxidant that may help with weight loss, heal damaged skin, cut inflammation and neutralize toxins.
