In this blog post I want to share my sentiments on the subjective matter’s of The ARTS & WESTERN ASTROLOGY.
ART is anything that is creatively expressed, as a result of human imagination and creative skill. A professional artist is someone who does this consistently and with dedication and considerable passion! Brass tax from my perspective: there is NO good art, without the (human) artist!!
WESTERN ASTROLOGY is an Ancient ART & Science that was part of university curriculum until the 17th Century (google it). Astrology is the study of the planets in our solar system and their supposed influence on our human behaviour. The core concept being: “As above, so below”
A professional astrologer is someone who studies astrology vigorously, who has passed examinations from established educational associations to prove their grasp of complex astrological systems and can effectively ‘delineate/navigate/read’ intricate data contained in astrology charts.
Both ART & ASTROLOGY are subjects that provoke all kinds of different reactions from all kinds of different people! And because I tend to mix with all kinds of very different people, and govern myself as the real person I am and need to be, I feel like I have heard it all with respects to opinions both positive and negative about ART & Astrology!
To me, ART is like a vehicle you want to drive and the vehicle you choose will tell the rest of us what your preferences are – very subjective but oh so very ART!
As for western astrology, I think a person should not have concern with “believing” in astrology, it’s the 21st Century and Western Astrology has become a language – do you say, I don’t believe in Spanish? or do you say, I don’t understand Spanish? BIG difference! Astrology doesn’t have to be used for predicting the future, it is a very useful self awareness tool to improve your actions. Astrological Charts are like personal cosmic maps, that happened to be in use SINCE Babylonian times, and what human couldn’t use the support of a map when navigating this precious life?
I am super excited to be at this stage with my professional art and astrology practice, curating my innovative ideas so as to provide professional grade services that will foster a new type of ‘personal wellness’, not to mention the creative cultural cohesion and enjoyable engagement that arrives when services are designed to teach and learn, like it is time to play!
